Mental health is health! Mental health is real! Meaning it is an important part of every stage of our life because it affects every aspect of our life.
Increasingly, mental health has been acknowledged as a critical aspect of our life which is dangerous to ignore. Stress is literally a killer.
Therapy is no longer seen as an intervention just for those severely compromised but is also extremely helpful for navigating the normal seasonal stressors of life.
For more than twenty years we at Bayridge have found that there is no one therapeutic approach that fits all. Each person is unique, their story is their own and, therefore, our approach will adapt to everyone’s distinctive situation. Each person’s uniqueness is why we take an integrated approach, which includes but is not limited to person-centered therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, and is also integrated with family systems, anxiety, trauma, and other therapeutic interventions. This permits flexibility and inclusiveness, allowing your therapist to understand and customize a treatment that fits your personal needs and goals yet being sensitive to any cultural diversities, fears, or concerns related to therapy you may have.
Issues are real and must be faced. And we can do this together.
In approaching any problem, you must first be honest enough with yourself to acknowledge and name it. It is OK to not be OK! Now action is required!
Be proactive and courageous enough to reach out for help. That’s why we are here.
The fact that you are reading this tells me you know there are issues to solve and that you value yourself enough to search out where can you find great help. I am glad you found us!
Reaching out can be scary but believe me, this feeling will almost completely dissipate when you speak with one of our client-advocates. Every month hundreds of people call us for similar issues that you are wrestling with right now. You are not alone! And you are important!
What can you expect?
You will find that “Getting Help and Feeling Better” is extremely convenient, confidential, and personable at Bayridge Alberta.
Confidentiality
We work hard for your trust! Therefore, we practise on an encrypted therapeutic network, which provides a direct connection between you and your therapist. It is an extremely safe online environment. This goes far beyond a standard Zoom platform. You will find that scheduling, payment, and communication with your therapist is easy and available 24/7.
For online therapy to work well, you will need a computer with a camera and a reliable high-speed internet. That’s it!
What will the process be?
Step One
It all starts with a phone call or email (or filling in the Connect Now form) to your personal client advocate, who will be quick to respond and carefully listen to understand your needs and best match you with a great therapist.
Of course, if there is a therapist on the website that you feel would be a great fit for you, then your advocate will be happy to set up your introduction with them.
Step Two
Step two is setting up the first appointment online to get to know one another. When you meet your therapist, please make sure you are completely comfortable and happy with them as your therapist. It is all about YOU!
Step Three
Your therapist will design a treatment plan that directly addresses your issues and needs. Your therapist will travel alongside you every step of the way.
Step Four
The goal is to feel better! With new skills, tools, and perspective your brain and body will adjust and dwell in your new normal.

Bayridge Kids – Neural Pathway Integration NPI
Brain Training For Kids
Forgive the smile on my face, but we are soooo proud to introduce our new NPI program to the Calgary area. This program is designed for children and teens who struggle with behavioural issues, anxiety, attention, emotional regulation, and mindfulness.
This is our brand new, state of the art program that is non-pharmaceutical and skills based. It leverages the plasticity of the brain with targeted rehearsals of the use of both sides of the brain using technology and gamification. Your child will have fun while developing deep-rooted skills that are hardwired to their new neural pathways.
Our families so love this they literally want all their children learning these skills. Our parents ask if they, too, can be part of it!
We set out to make sure that children are engaged and having fun – and we accomplished it, all the while developing critical brain training. It has been a game changer. Their teachers all notice the change.
