We all deserve to live a genuine life. A life that is based on what is most important to us – our values. Sometimes, achieving this is easy and sadly, there are times in everyone’s life when what we are experiencing is distressing, painful, traumatic or simply not want we want or need to live a rich and meaningful life. Sometimes it is even challenging to identify what is wrong or why we are not happy. Investing in yourself, in your life, is a testament to your strength, courage and curiosity and in my experience a great starting point for therapy.
My starting point in every client relationship is building connection. You will find I am warm, relaxed and curious. I will honour you and your life with respect that is based on non-judgmental acceptance, compassion and support. Everyone is unique, therefore my approach to our therapy journey will be to partner and figure out what works best for you. We are a team. My role is to offer my experience, expertise and training so that together we can find the most effective therapy for you.
I have training in many different types of therapy including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Attachment and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to name a few. Your role is being the expert in you, your life and the life you want. Together we will explore many possibilities and build on your inherent strengths, gifts and ‘you-ness’.
